A unique and unparalleled experience while staying in Happy Valley. This is Penn State’s living room. You won’t be able to find a hotel more likely to make your visit to Penn State more iconic.
The food was very excellent. Everything had great flavor. The filet mignon was cooked excellently, and the side vegetables were great. The only thing I would say that needs to be improved is the entrance and getting seated. There wasn't a sign or somebody at the front, and we weren't sure if we were at the right spot to be seated.
It’s truly impressive the level of care, craftsmanship, and pride that Jeff & Michelle take in their work. Best bar we’ve been to in quite a long time. 10/10
Based on my one visit, this is possibly the best restaurant in Central Pennsylvania. The menus is diverse enough that everyone should be able to find something they like. The food is thoughtfully prepared and presented and very tasty. The staff have impeccable manners. I come to this area several times a year and regret not coming sooner.
Lionne is in the Nittany Lion Inn. We stayed there for the weekend and dined in the restaurant on three separate occasions. We ate breakfast twice and dinner once. Each meal we had was excellent. The restaurant is well appointed, it has a nice comfortable vibe to it without feeling pretentious. The breakfast menu is somewhat limited but there is enough variety for everyone. The dinner menu was similar but again, even the picky eaters will find something to eat. The food was very good, breakfast was "reasonable". The dinner was a little pricier but you pay for a good meal. The staff were friendly, they took good care of us without being a bother. We did not need a reservation but we were staying at the hotel kind of off-season so ymmv.

My husband had reservations for our Valentine's day dinner her last evening and the menu, dinner and wait staff was incredible! The food was amazing from the first course all the way through dessert. It was our first time there and we both agreed that we will be back to try the regular menu.
WE ARE... so very thankful for the reopening of the NLI dining room. Our food was delicious! Service was superb! They prepared the favorite birthday cake of a member of our dinner party that was absolutely exquisite - both in taste and decoration! And, our wait staff member sang Happy Birthday. His beautiful voice was enjoyed by everyone in the dining room. Perfection and a night to remember for a lifetime! Thank you Nittany Lion Inn!
